The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, left Ghana on Monday, May 15, 2017, to begin the second phase of his official working visits to the countries of the ECOWAS region.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has indicated his preparedness to share the experiences Ghana has gained in the management of its oil and gas resources, since its discovery in 2007, as well as the measures taken to ensure the prudent and effective use of the proceeds from their sale with Senegal.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has stated that there can be no future prosperity for the countries of West Africa and its peoples, in the short, medium or long term, if they continue to maintain economic structures that are dependent on the production and export of raw materials.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has assured that his government has begun fulfilling the promises made to Ghanaians in the run-up to the December 2016 elections, adding that, sooner rather than later, Ghanaians will be witnesses to the immense benefits of the realisation of the pledges made to them.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has indicated that his government is in the process of identifying alternative sources of livelihood for persons involved in illegal mining activities, popularly referred to as ‘galamsey’, across the country.
