The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Thursday, May 4, 2017, arrived in Ouagadougou, the capital of the Republic of Burkina Faso, to begin his 2-day tour of that country, with his agenda being “to develop the initiatives that will bring prosperity to our people.”

The governments of Ghana and Burkina Faso have pledged to work towards strengthening the ties of co-operation that exist between them, after the Presidents of the two countries expressed satisfaction with the current state of the relations between them. 

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has revealed that close co-operation between Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire will be facilitated by a new initiative dubbed “An Agreement For a Strategic Partnership”, that will be signed by the two countries.

I am deeply honoured and profoundly moved by this exceptional act of consideration done me by the Ivorian people through the intervention of the outstanding statesman, who is their current leader, His Excellency Alassane Dramane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has reiterated the commitment of his government to establishing the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) – the vehicle which will ensure that each of the 275 constituencies receives the equivalent of $1 million per year for infrastructural development.
