The current aggressive posture of the Auditor General, combined with the renowned anti-corruption tendencies of the newly appointed Special Prosecutor, is the clearest evidence yet of the Nana Akufo-Addo government’s determination to fight the canker of corruption, according to Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Government has voted $1.5million for the automation of the auditing process in the country, to make the Ghana Audit Service more responsive to the changing dynamics in the fight against corruption.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says the work being undertaken by his government, over the course of his first year in office, is leading to the building of a resilient and robust economy, which will take Ghana to a situation beyond aid.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged Governors of the United States of America not to ignore Africa, stating his belief that “this can be Africa’s century”.

“There is a lot of opportunity for American capital, technology and enterprise in Ghana, and, indeed, in Africa, and we welcome companies from all your states to participate in the exceptional opportunities that exist in our country and on the continent.”
