The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will from Monday, 2nd October, 2017, to Sunday, 8th October, 2017, embark on a 7-day tour of the three Northern Regions, as part of his tour of the country.

On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, I congratulate my former boss, His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, former President of the Republic, on his receipt of the first ever Wilberforce World Freedom Medal from the University of Hull’s Wilberforce Institute.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has celebrated the hundreds of thousands of cocoa farmers across the country responsible for the production of a crop that has, for over a century, been the mainstay for the economy of our country.

I extend warm congratulations to the entire membership of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) for the successful conduct of their elections of Friday, 29th September, 2017, which saw the selection of executives to steer the affairs of the Association for the next four years.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says the two largest producers of cocoa in the world, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire, have now decided to co-operate in ensuring that they do not continue to be victims or pawns of a global cocoa industry that is dependent on the work of their farmers.
