The Standing Committee of the National House of Chiefs on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to congratulate him on his victory in the December 2016 elections, and also to congratulate him on his assumption of the highest office of the land.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has assured that Ghana, under his leadership will be returned onto the path of progress and prosperity, adding that “very soon the difficulties in our economic circumstances are going to be a thing of a past”.

King Mswati III, King of Swaziland, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on his victory in the 2016 election, and on his assumption of the highest office of the land.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged his newly sworn-in Ministers to discharge their duties with sincerity and humility.

A few minutes ago, Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshall Michael Samson Oje came to inform me that he had reached the retirement age, and came to say goodbye to me formally in my capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.
