Chiefs from the Upper West Region have expressed their appreciation to the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for the implementation of his manifesto pledges and several other pro-poor policies over the last 18 months, the period of stay of the President’s government in office.
The various interventions and initiatives implemented by the Nana Akufo-Addo Government has provided financial relief for many ordinary Ghanaians, the Vice President of the Republic, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stated.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Monday, 23rd July, 2018, ended his 3-day tour of the Northern Region, with visits to Tamale, Buipe, and Damongo.
The Vice-President of the Republic, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that notwithstanding the recent volatility of the Ghana cedi, the data shows that it has seen the slowest depreciation against the US dollar for the first eighteen months of any government since 1993.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says, from September 2018, Government will implement the double intake system for new entrants into the country’s public Senior High Schools, which will address the growing numbers of students benefitting from the Free SHS policy.
