Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, leads the Majority Caucus in Parliament, replacing Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson. He will be assisted by the Member for Cape Coast South, Hon. Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, as the Deputy Majority Leader.
The Majority Chief Whip is the MP for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, supported by the MP for Ada, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah as First Deputy Majority Whip and Richard Acheampong, MP for Bia East, as Second Deputy Majority Whip.
The new Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, is one of the most experienced and longest-serving MPs. He first became an MP in 2005, lost his second bid in 2008, but bounced back in 2012. He has since been the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central.
