Eleven ministers of state have taken office so far, following their approval by parliament and swearing-in. These eleven are among forty-two (42) ministers of state and regional ministers nominated by President John Dramani Mahama and communicated to the Speaker of Parliament. The ministers who have taken office are:
1. Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson (MP) – Minister for Finance
2. Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine (MP) – Attorney General and Minister for Justice
3. John Abdulai Jinapor (MP) – Minister for Energy and Green Transition
4. Haruna Iddrisu (MP) – Minister for Education
5. Kwame Governs Agbodza (MP) – Minister for Roads and Highways
6. Eric Opoku (MP) – Minister for Food and Agriculture
7. Abla Dzifa Gomashie (MP) – Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts
8. George Opare Addo – Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment
9. Emelia Arthur (MP) – Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development
10. Ahmed Ibrahim (MP) – Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs
11. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare (MP) – Minister for Trade, Industry, and Agribusiness.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Finance Minister Dr Ato Forson assured the President of their commitment to the tasks ahead. “We want to assure you that as we start work today, we will start the reset agenda with you for the people of Ghana.”
