The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has inaugurated the new Governing Board of the Ghana AIDS Commission with a charge to the new Board to ensure that the strategic goals of the National HIV and AIDS Plan 2021-2025 are achieved in line with the Sustainable Development Goals’ target of ending AIDS by 2030.

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated Government’s willingness to support any institution, public or private, which intends implementing digital initiatives to promote efficiency and fight corruption in the provision of public services.

“It is encouraging for my government and party, the New Patriotic Party, to recall that the rate of growth of the economy, 5.6%, against the background of the exceptionally difficult circumstances of the COVID-era, is still considerably better than the 3.4% we inherited (in 2016) in calmer times from our predecessor administration.”

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, 1st March 2022, launched the 2022 edition of “Green Ghana Day”, with a commitment to planting some twenty million trees this year, as part of Government’s aggressive afforestation and reforestation programme. 

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has described the proposed e-levy as an innovative fiscal measure, which will help improve the country’s tax-to-GDP ratio on an equitable basis.
