The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has assured investors, both domestic and foreign, that neither his government nor his appointees are in office to compete for business opportunities with the private sector.

“We want to build a Ghana beyond aid; a Ghana which looks to the use of its own resources. We want to build an economy that is not dependent on charity and handouts, but an economy that will look at the proper management of its resources as the way to engineer social and economic growth in our country.”

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has outlined his programme for the social and economic transformation of the country, and is therefore urging investors and CEOs of the largest African and international companies to invest in Ghana

I am delighted to join all of you today to celebrate the laying of the foundation stone for the new Chancery building of the Embassy of France here in Accra. I am glad that the ceremony of this happy development has fallen to my lot. My appreciation of all things French is well known. I spent five of the most productive years of my youth living and working as a lawyer in Paris, which is responsible for this attachment.
