The Vice President of the Republic, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will leave Ghana on Thursday, March 9, 2017 to attend the National Day Celebrations of the Republic of Mauritius, as the Special Guest.
Whilst in Mauritius, the Vice President will hold bilateral talks with Her Excellency Mrs Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of Mauritius, Hon Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister and other senior Mauritian government officials, aimed at strengthening ties between the two countries.
Dr Bawumia will also attend a Breakfast Business Meeting hosted by the Mauritian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, in Collaboration with the Board of Investment.
He would be accompanied by Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister for Foreign Affairs; Hon. Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communications; Hon Ibrahim Awal, Minister for Business Development; Mr Reginald Grant, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; and other government officials.
The Vice President returns to Accra on Monday March 13, 2017.
