The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, left Ghana, on Saturday, 3rd September, at the invitation of Ban Ki-Moon, 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the Board of Global Centre of Adaption (GCA), to participate in the African Adaptation Summit to be held on Monday, 5th September, 2022, at the GCA Headquarters in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The National Security Co-ordinator, Amb. Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Francis Adu-Amanfoh, with effect from Monday, 8th August 2022, has been reassigned by the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to act as Special Advisor to the President for the Accra Initiative.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will from Friday 2nd – Saturday, 3rd September, 2022 begin a two-day tour of the Central Region.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in accordance with article 78 of the Constitution, has appointed the Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu, the Member of Parliament for Walewale, as Minister-designate for Gender, Children and Social Protection. Her appointment is subject to the approval of Parliament.
